Polish architect, designer and creator of one of the most forward-oriented steel processing technologies, which is used by many industries. The Wired magazine referred to Zięta’s design as the ‘furniture of the future’, and the PLOPP stool (in Polish, an acronym for ‘Polish Folk Object Inflated with Air’) is part of the permanent collection of Center Pompidou in Paris as one of the twelve chairs that have changed the contemporary design.

Building Without Barriers

Building Without Barriers certificate

This certificate is a clear indication that the building is friendly and tailored to serve people with different needs: wheelchair users, blind, visually impaired or deaf. It is also a confirmation that the building is suitable to the needs of the elderly, people with reduced mobility or with young children.

So far, more than 100 buildings have been certified, including the Presidential Palace in Warsaw and Warsaw Chopin Airport. Holm House is the first residential building in Poland to receive the Building Without Barriers certificate. For the residents of Holm House, this is a clear indication that Skanska takes seriously social responsibility and the principles of sustainable development and thus improves the accessibility to its building for at least an additional 12% of the population.
